Nicole Heaney

Policy Advisor, Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning

Nicole is a policy advisor, monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL), with IISD’s Resilience team, supporting the Scaling Urban Nature-based Solutions (NbS) for Climate Adaptation in Sub-Saharan Africa (SUNCASA). Nicole will lead reporting efforts for the project while coordinating with essential MEL partners across the three project countries.

She has over 7 years of experience working in MEL and is passionate about designing and implementing systems to measure and enhance the impact of international development programs. With her strong background in qualitative research, data analysis, and visualization, along with a postgraduate certificate in international development, Nicole coordinates and supports MEL efforts across various projects and regions, using a variety of data collection and visualization tools. Nicole also holds a bachelor’s degree in peace and conflict studies.

She is based in Toronto, Canada.
